PM6007: a choice built around the system
PM6007 connects sources, listening priorities and space through a coherent configuration.
PM6007 is a Marantz stereo integrated amplifier designed for a defined stereo role. Configuration, sources and loudspeakers should be chosen together: its value lies not in a feature count alone, but in the way it simplifies or specialises the system.
Key features
- 2x45 W into 8 ohms
- optical and coaxial inputs
- AK4490 DAC
- HDAM-SA3
- MM phono stage
The foundation of a hi-fi system
PM6007 combines 45 W per channel, analogue inputs, MM phono and digital conversion in a conventional chassis. It is intended for a first system with player, optically connected television and turntable, without built-in networking. Spending remains focused on essential functions.
Digital without streaming
Two optical inputs and one coaxial feed the AK4490 DAC; there is no HEOS, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. A television with optical output can connect, although volume and power do not follow HDMI ARC logic. Online services need an external streamer that can later be replaced independently.
Forty-five watts, not a universal promise
Output is appropriate for efficient standmount speakers and modest rooms. Low sensitivity, difficult impedance or a distant seat may point to MODEL 50 or MODEL 60n. PM6007 succeeds by providing a complete, understandable chain rather than chasing maximum sound pressure.
Vinyl and private listening
The MM stage directly accepts a compatible turntable, while the headphone socket permits listening without loudspeakers. HDAM-SA3 modules work in the analogue stage. This amplifier suits those who select sources one at a time and do not need app control.
The check before purchase
Before choosing PM6007, confirm that 2x45 w into 8 ohms, optical and coaxial inputs and ak4490 dac genuinely match the system priorities. That combination, alongside available inputs and shelf space, separates it from nearby alternatives: an unused feature cannot compensate for an unsuitable match.
