It is a two-way bass reflex floorstander that stays faithful to natural materials for the cones: a 17 cm long-throw NS+ woofer with a treated fibre cone and a 27 mm silk dome tweeter, joined by a crossover tuned with care for phase.

The front panel is fixed to the cabinet with elastomer bushes and a double damping strip, so vibration from the drivers does not reach the enclosure, which is braced inside and lined with absorbing material. The plinth is machined from solid steel and lowers the centre of gravity; rubber feet with adjustment and spikes for carpet come with the speakers. The speakers are sold as a pair, in the finish with a walnut veneered front and a charcoal cabinet.

Technical features

System: two-way bass reflex tuned to 42 Hz

Tweeter: 27 mm silk dome with a neodymium magnet

Woofer: 17 cm long-throw Ruark NS+, treated fibre cone

Frequency response: from 40 Hz to 22 kHz, typical value in a room

Nominal impedance: 6 Ohm, minimum 3.8 Ohm

Sensitivity: 87 dB with 2.83 V at 1 m

Recommended amplifier power: from 50 to 250 W

Connection: double gold-plated 4 mm terminals, bi-wiring possible

Per speaker: height 850 mm, width 210 mm, depth 250 mm, weight 17.6 kg
