It is a three-way speaker: two 8-inch woofers with C-CAM cones and RST III profile handle the low frequencies, a dedicated 3-inch midrange unit reproduces voices and instruments, and a 25 mm Gold Dome tweeter in C-CAM covers the top end.

The design was developed as a whole. The crossover has been refined, the Silent Flow reflex port makes airflow smoother and the cabinet, rigid and internally braced, uses through-bolt driver fixing (Through-Bolt) to keep resonance down. New outrigger feet sit at the base.

Technical features

Configuration: three-way, reflex with Silent Flow port tuned to 33 Hz

Drivers: two 8-inch RST III woofers in C-CAM, one 3-inch RST III midrange in C-CAM, one 25 mm Gold Dome tweeter in C-CAM

In-room frequency response (-6 dB): 28 Hz - 35 kHz

Sensitivity: 90 dB (2.83 Vrms at 1 m, free field)

Impedance: 8 Ohm nominal, 3.6 Ohm minimum at 2 kHz

Crossover points: 640 Hz and 2.8 kHz

Recommended amplifier: 125-500 W on 4 Ohm, 60-250 W on 8 Ohm; continuous power handling 250 W

Size, every accessory fitted: height 1120 mm, width 340 mm, depth 432 mm

Weight: 24.3 kg each

Available versions

Sold as a pair, in High Gloss Black, Satin White and European Walnut finishes.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0615/5278/7645/files/monitor-audio-silver-500-8g-nero-lucido.jpg?v=1791447204
