The chassis measures 214 x 157 x 41 mm, weighs 1.06 kg and can stand upright on the supplied vertical stand.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eTriple-stage isolation and femto-precision GMT clock\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe heart of the design is optical isolation: the LAN signal coming from the router is converted into light and then back into an electrical signal, so input and output stay completely separated electrically. Isolation is in three stages and cuts the noise and interference that traditional switches end up making worse.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAfter conversion an active circuit regenerates the data stream with the internal GMT (Global Master Timing) femto-precision clock, for ultra-low jitter and consistent timing throughout the network. Stated jitter is below 0.05 ms, with a bandwidth of 1,000 Mbps.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eUltra-Pure ports for streamers and DACs, 10 MHz clock\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe ports are split into two groups. The Ultra-Pure ones, namely two RJ45, one optical SC and one M12, are reserved for networked playback devices such as streamers and DACs; the Standard ones, namely eight RJ45 and one optical SFP, take all the other equipment.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eA BNC connector for the 10 MHz master clock, in and out, synchronises timing with the rest of the system. Whether streaming hi-res files, using a Roon Core or running a networked music server, the signal arrives intact from router to renderer.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eTFT display, configurable grounding modes and rack mounting\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe high-resolution TFT display shows the bandwidth of each port in real time, incoming and outgoing, useful for troubleshooting and performance monitoring; the switch can also be monitored and controlled from a smartphone app. Three configurable grounding modes (DC-RF, RF and ISO) help optimise noise control in the most complex installations.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eSupplied are the vertical stand, the 15 V power supply, a 0.5 m RJ45 cable and four anti-slip pads; the OMNI LAN is compatible with audiophile-grade external power supplies.
