The aluminium inverted-dome tweeter spreads the sound well even in the open air. UV protection and the IP66 rating let it withstand rain, wind and dust.

The Polyglass membrane, a Focal exclusive, is a cellulose cone coated with glass microbeads: the stiffness of glass adds to the damping of paper, for a clean, uncoloured midrange. The treble is handled by an aluminium inverted-dome tweeter, a Focal signature since 1981, which gives wide dispersion and very low directivity.

Installation

The bracket supplied rotates by 180 degrees and allows vertical or horizontal mounting, with the logo turning accordingly. Aluminium grille and cabinet can be painted, in the white and black finishes.

Frequency response (±3 dB): 60 Hz - 23 kHz

Low frequency point (-6 dB): 45 Hz

Sensitivity 88 dB, nominal impedance 8 ohms (minimum 7)

Suggested amplification: 20 - 150 W

390 mm high, 258 mm wide, 280 mm deep; it weighs 5.8 kg

Protection rating IP66

Mounting bracket with 180° rotation

Finishes: white and black, paintable

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0615/5278/7645/files/focal-100-od8-nero-vista-di-tre-quarti-dkapn.jpg?v=1793125222
