It suits both stereo and a home cinema system, in a hallway, living room, bedroom or kitchen. A three-position selector (-3, 0, +3 dB) matches the treble to the room.

The Polyglass membrane, a Focal exclusive, is a cellulose cone coated with glass microbeads: the stiffness of glass adds to the damping of paper, for a clean, uncoloured midrange. The treble is handled by an aluminium inverted-dome tweeter, a Focal signature since 1981, which gives wide dispersion and very low directivity.

Installation

Shallow mounting depth, optimised fixing brackets and a one-piece frame: installation is quick. The magnetic grille is ready to be painted in the colour of the wall or ceiling. The Polyglass membrane is tropicalised: the loudspeaker can also work in damp rooms such as a bathroom.

Frequency response (±3 dB): 53 Hz - 23 kHz

Low frequency point (-6 dB): 40 Hz

Sensitivity 90 dB, nominal impedance 8 ohms (minimum 6.9)

Suggested amplification: 25 - 150 W

Mounting depth 111 mm, cut-out 224 mm in diameter, for panels from 8 to 40 mm

It weighs 1.5 kg

Round or square magnetic grille, paintable

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0615/5278/7645/files/focal-100-icw8-vista-frontale-fbnjn.jpg?v=1793125128
