In substance it is a Contour 30i laid horizontally, with the tweeter relocated to the centre: a choice that gives the same tonal character on every channel, important because most of the dialogue passes through the centre speaker.

The Esotar 2i soft-dome tweeter, with Hexis inner dome, larger rear chamber and ferrofluid, sits between two 18 cm MSP drivers. These are identical to those of the Contour 20i and 30i, with light aluminium voice coil and asymmetrical aramid-fibre spider. Materials and finishes are the same as on the upright loudspeakers of the series.

Technical features

Two-and-a-half-way bass reflex design, port at the rear

28 mm Esotar 2i tweeter with Hexis

Two 18 cm MSP drivers

Crossover points at 300 and 2,200 Hz, second-order filters

Sensitivity 87 dB (2.83 V/1 m), nominal impedance 4 Ohm

Response from 35 Hz to 23 kHz within 3 dB

IEC power handling of 300 W

750 x 215 x 396 mm (W x H x D), 24 kg

Available versions

Sold individually, in Black High Gloss, Walnut and Nordic Silver finishes.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0615/5278/7645/files/1_cf2fb5d5-32fe-48bc-989f-cc727ad6f408.webp?v=1768403655
