The Esotar 2i tweeter has a bigger rear chamber, which damps more effectively, and the Hexis inner dome; together they make the response more linear and cut resonances in the upper range.

The 18 cm woofer has a cone in MSP, the magnesium silicate polymer developed by Dynaudio, a light aluminium voice coil and a vented double ferrite magnet. The spider is now made of aramid fibre, with ribs of varying width. The crossover has been simplified and no longer includes the impedance correction circuit. The aluminium baffle is recessed into the cabinet and limits diffraction at high frequencies; the internal damping has been revised as well.

Technical features

Two-way bass reflex design, port at the rear

28 mm Esotar 2i tweeter with Hexis

18 cm MSP woofer

Crossover point at 2,200 Hz, second-order filters

Sensitivity 86 dB (2.83 V/1 m), nominal impedance 4 Ohm

Response from 39 Hz to 23 kHz within 3 dB

IEC power handling of 180 W

215 x 440 x 360 mm (W x H x D), 14 kg

Available versions

Sold as a pair, in Black High Gloss, Nordic Silver and Walnut finishes.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0615/5278/7645/files/dynaudio-contour-20i-black-high-gloss-0ww05.webp?v=1783874754
