It has a full-size chassis in 3 mm stainless steel with thick aluminium panels, built for durability and vibration resistance, and a power supply with a large transformer and a capacitor bank.

The clock is an ultra-low-jitter NDK unit and a BNC input accepts an external 10 MHz clock. There are eleven ports: four SFP+, compatible with 10 Gbps modules and with the DELA C1 direct attach cable, and seven RJ45 with Neutrik connectors, chosen for their mating accuracy and robustness.

Speed and ports under control

A front-panel button changes the speed of every port: the RJ45 ports run at 1 Gbps, 100 Mbps or 10 Mbps, the SFP+ ports at 1 or 10 Gbps. Unused ports can be shut down completely, electrically too, to adapt the network to the connected devices. Colour LEDs on the front show the speed of each port and their brightness can be adjusted; the rear LEDs, useful for checking connections, can also be turned off with a button. It is built in Japan, in Nagoya.

Technical data

Speed: RJ45 ports 10/100 Mbps and 1 Gbps; SFP+ ports 1/10 Gbps

Terminals: 7 RJ45, 4 SFP+, 1 USB 2.0 (power supply only), BNC clock input 10 MHz, 50 ohm, 0.5-5 Vpp

Output current: SFP+ ports max 1.8 A in total (3.3 V); USB port max 0.9 A (5 V)

Power supply: 230 V or 120 V AC, pre-set according to country, 50/60 Hz

Dimensions (W × H × D): 440 × 82 × 353 mm, excluding protruding parts

Weight: approx. 14 kg
