Switching can happen on its own, when the matrix senses the 5 V hot plug line or fresh TMDS activity, or by hand from the front panel, the IR remote or RS-232. ALLM and VRR pass through cleanly, so auto low latency and variable refresh remain available on the TV. Audio can be extracted to optical and analogue outputs for a separate system. The matrix is HDCP 2.3 compliant and handles source EDID in an advanced way.

Key features

Two HDMI 2.1 inputs and two outputs with HDR, up to 40 Gbps

8K at 60 Hz (YCbCr 4:2:0) or 8K at 30 Hz (4:4:4), always with 10-bit depth

4K at 120 Hz in RGB or YCbCr 4:4:4, 10-bit depth

ALLM and VRR support

Bitstream multichannel surround audio, object-based formats included

Automatic switching on 5 V or TMDS detection

Connections

Two HDMI type A inputs and two outputs, two S/PDIF optical outputs and two stereo analogue outputs on 3.5 mm jacks, an IR input on a stereo jack and a female DB9 RS-232 port.
