When inserting, it takes a stereo analogue signal and places it on the HDMI output. Used as a repeater, its EDID handling helps clear handshake problems between HDMI devices. CEC is passed through and the unit is HDCP 1.4 compliant.

Key features

Selectable HDMI audio extractor or inserter mode

Stereo analogue and coaxial digital outputs active together

4K video: 3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz 4:4:4 and 4096 x 2160 at 24 Hz 4:4:4, or 4K at 60 Hz 4:2:0

Resolutions from VGA to WUXGA and from 480i to 4K

Multichannel bitstream audio, object-based formats included

CEC pass-through and advanced EDID handling

HDCP 1.4 compliant

Connections

Type A HDMI input and output, analogue audio input on a 3.5 mm stereo jack, coaxial RCA S/PDIF output and analogue output on a second stereo jack. 5.1 PCM embedded in HDMI cannot be carried over the coaxial link.
