atc-cda2-mk2
ATC CDA2 Mk2

ATC CDA2 Mk2: CD player with D/A converter and preamplifier

ATC CDA2 Mk2 brings together in a compact chassis a CD player, a preamplifier and a high-resolution D/A converter. It can act as source and control centre of a system with active loudspeakers, cutting down the number of boxes, or work with a power amplifier, for example the ATC P2, when the loudspeakers are passive. A streamer or an external phono stage can be placed beside it.

The preamplifier is entirely discrete in class A, with balanced and unbalanced outputs. The converter is a 32 bit AKM: the USB port accepts PCM up to 384 kHz and native DSD up to DSD256 from Windows or Linux computers, up to DSD128 from a Mac. The headphone amplifier has a discrete output stage. The unit holds the Roon Tested certification and is made by hand in England.

Technical features

Analogue inputs: two RCA stereo pairs and one input on a 3.5 mm mini-jack

Digital inputs: optical TOSLINK up to 24 bit / 96 kHz, coaxial up to 24 bit / 192 kHz, USB up to 32 bit / 384 kHz

Pre outputs: one balanced XLR stereo pair and one unbalanced RCA stereo pair

Headphone output: 6.35 mm jack

Maximum output level: 18.4 V RMS balanced and 9.2 V RMS unbalanced, into 600 Ohm

Preamplifier frequency response: from below 2 Hz to above 280 kHz (-3 dB)

Signal-to-noise ratio: above 112 dB (IEC A)

Size: height 94 mm, width 449 mm, depth 327 mm, connectors included

Weight: 6.35 kg
